This Stanford-based interdisciplinary workshop will discuss core ideas on how the right to health can be applied to planetary health issues, focusing on the mental health of climate change effected communities

Our panelists will be discussing key topics such as:

  • How can 'right to health' based approaches mitigate the impact of climate change related effects on mental health?

  • What evidence could inform the needs, vulnerability drivers, and recovery mechanisms in the context of climatic disasters and extreme weather events?

  • How can communities benefit from and get involved in developing and implementing 'right to health' based approaches in the climate change context?

We welcome participants from Stanford and beyond, including community-based organizations, NGOs, students, researchers, physicians, legal scholars working in health fields, and others.
